
The Congregations of Stoney Creek United and Pioneer Memorial United Churches voted
on Sunday December 7th, to approve the Search Committee recommendation to hire
Reverend Lennox Scarlett for a one year appointment.

Reverend Lennox Scarlett for a one year appointment.
Reverend Scarlett comes to us with twenty-nine years of ministry experience in Jamaica and
Canada. He has a degree in Theology and Diploma in Ministerial Formation from the United
Theological College of the West Indies and University of the West Indies. He also has a
Masters Degree in Practical Theology from the Teologische Universiteit, Kampen, the
Netherlands.
He has worked at Churches in Jamaica and also a School Chaplain at a Boarding School.
He came to Canada in 2018 and his first Church was Scotland United. While serving there
the Church merged with Oakland United. His most recent church was Wesley United in
Welland. While there he worked to engage with local organizations and schools. He also
established a food pantry.
Reverend Scarlett has also been the president of Regional Council and is Commissioner to
the General Council of the United Church of Canada. He is also a board member of Brock
University Ecumenical Chaplaincy.
The Joint Search Committee was most impressed with his spirituality and passion for
pastoral care and outreach.

Andrew came to us with 10 years experience as Director of Music and Worship Arts, serving in various churches throughout the Hamilton and Niagara Region. Andrew studied music at the post-secondary level at McMaster University followed by attending Teacher’s College at Redeemer University in Ancaster. Andrew also serves as an elementary school music teacher with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board.

Janice McIntosh
Janice joined Stoney Creek United Church in May 2017, taking on the role of our Part Time Office Administrator. She is an Entrepreneur and an Ordained Minister. In her spare time she
enjoys dancing and spending time with her husband, 3 sons and her extended family.

Brynna discovered her love of children and youth ministry as a youth herself, thanks to Hamilton Presbytery’s Summer Day Camp. She’s always found passion and joy while working with children and youth. Brynna strives to help young people on their journey of discovering and sharing God's love in whatever way she can.
